Wendy Balconi, born and raised in North Yorkshire, England, holds a Ph.D. in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and maintains a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is co-founder of Creative Depth, an organization dedicated to bringing more depth to the clinical setting. As a depth psychologist, Wendy has a profound respect for the unconscious and believes that all images emerge as a spontaneous response to the inner landscape. She first experienced a relationship to the unconscious while working as a commercial artist and continues to revere the innate intelligence of this unseen world. Her collage-making process could be likened to the naïve curiosity of a child whose play makes space for communication from the imaginal realm.
