Litmosphere: Journal of Charlotte Lit: Issue 1, Spring 2022

On May 1, 2022, Charlotte Lit Press released the first issue of Litmosphere: Journal of Charlotte Lit. The inaugural issue included the winners from the 2022 Lit/South Awards in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and flash, published alongside the work of our contest judges: Ron Rash, Jessica Jacobs, Nickole Brown, Stephanie Elizondo Griest, and Tara Campbell.

About the Lit/South Awards

Charlotte Lit received over 450 submissions from all over the world to our inaugural LIT/south Awards. Current and past residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia were invited to enter their work into four categories (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and flash) for a share of $10,000 in prizes plus publication. The 2022 prizes in each category were:

First Place: $1,500
Second Place: $500
Third Place: $250
Honorable Mention: $50
